Case Studies

Welcome to the area of the Wheelift web site where you can find Industry Specific Case Studies and related Support Information.

To better determine whether a Wheelift solution can be applied in your operations, you may wish to review one of compiled Case Studies, obtain a copy of our transporter video, or read more about the specifics of our computerized steering and fluid equalizing suspension technology.

The foundation components of the systems we manufacture are the unique Uniload on-center rotation, fluid suspension axle assemblies. We manufacture the Uniload wheel modules in a number of standard sizes and ultra-heavy load capacities. Virtually all applications of this technology are custom designed to meet the specific requirements of the project. The transporters, whether manually or automatically controlled will be based on how many load carrying axles assemblies of a specific size are needed to carry the intended load.

The overriding criteria in most applications if governed by the self-loading feature that the vertical lift axle assemblies offer, where the transporter drive under stand or frame supported loads, then lift and carry those loads to the next assembly station, test cell, or virtually any area of the plant. The application is almost always heavily dependent on the overall height of the transporter being as low to the floor as possible. Here is where the Wheelift transporters are totally unique. Whether we are supplying single transporters, or two, three and four transporters that can operate in tandem under the products being assembled, the complete self-propelled, transporters can be as low as 18" (460 mm), yet capable of carrying loads weighing from 60 tons through 200 tons and beyond, while traveling over severely irregular floor surfaces.

Thank you and we hope you have a pleasant and informative visit.
