This project example illustrates custom engineered system of mobile fixtures for transmission component assembly that presents the transmission to the station workers at the exact height and position for them to most efficiently install their components.  There are eight AGVs in this system that have a 4500 lb capacity and travel at 132 FPM.  By building these types of fixtures on Wheelift axle assemblies, these assembly fixtures could just as easily be five to ten times larger for  handling much, much, bigger product components.  The automated travel mobile work stations could include work platforms, tool racks, and any other items that could make assembly of very large products easier and faster.
