Steam turbine assembly is typically a build in place proposition. That need not be. Any product with long, very heavy base frames can now move freely anywhere in the plant and assembly in areas where there are only light capacity cranes to hoist components. For instance big frame assemblies that are 40 to 60 feet in length with the bulk of the weight on either end, can easily be picked up and moved anywhere in the plant two or more Wheelift transporter that move into place independently and then operate in tandem (operate as a single unit) to pick up and move to the next assembly station or in and out from outside. |
